The Big Clap proved to be not only a localised success, but a national success. Footage of the big clap appeared on the BBC’s flagship news programs, Newsnight and the 10 O’clock News. This well-received footage has enabled further engagement with the general public, and has helped with the numbers of volunteers who are signing up daily to help.
