As part of our HealthMedics Network, Allocate invites you to join the new Job Planning Skills Lab training series.

The Skills Labs are events where you can learn and develop practical software skills and, at the same time, share ideas and wisdom with your peers from other trusts and health boards. Each event in the Skills Lab series focuses on a different theme. It is not necessary to have attended Part 1 (Engagement) or Part 2 (Process), which took place in April, to gain value from attending Part 3:

Part 3: Quality Leeds: 22nd January 2014 London: 23rd January 2014 Case Studies and Presentations You will hear case studies from other NHS professionals who are realising benefits from the consultant job planning process, and who can offer you valuable insights and strategies for success within your own organisation. Presentations from key figures in healthcare will help keep you up-to-date with job planning developments and on track with business objectives.

Training Workshop streams will be offered at foundation/ intermediate level and intermediate/advanced level, enabling you to select the level of training which you feel best suits your needs. Training will focus on job planning management skills as well as on use of the e-JobPlan software.

User Group Sessions The user group section of the events will provide opportunities for you to discuss e-JobPlan with your peers from other NHS trusts. You will have the chance to share knowledge, experience and best practice with regard to system implementation and on-going system management. During these sessions we will respond to your feedback, identify common challenges and provide solutions, give you a preview of forthcoming developments scheduled over the next 18 months, and gather your views and ideas on how your job planning experience could be further improved.

What People Are Saying: Below is feedback we received from people who attended Part 1: Engagement, in London on 11th April:

“An excellent event – I learnt so much from the experts and have brought a lot of information back to the Trust so we can start implementing the changes needed. Very worthwhile! ….. I highly recommend the event to anyone using the e-JobPlan software – there was so much relevant information I was able to take back to the Trust so I had a highly productive day! Many thanks for organising this and I look forward to the next session” Lisa Bemister, Appraisal and Revalidation Manager, Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

“It was such a good day on so many levels… good mix of practical work and presentations so something for everyone. Good to network – came away with some good tips.” Caroline Harburn, Medical Staffing Manager, Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust
